Archive-name: Changes/miratrip.txt Archive-author: Mira Lacous June 1991 Archive-title: Mira's California Outing "A True Story" Following is a summary of an exciting trip that I took to California enfemme. Mira has been out in the public eye before, but only on a limited basis. So this was a real coming out, as you will soon see. The enfemme portion of the trip started Monday night, June 17, and unfortunately had to end at 3:00am Sunday morning on June 23. So there were five days of fun and excitement. The enfemme vacation started in Los Angeles, actually San Clemente a southern suburb. Monday night was spent getting Mira ready and getting rid of and packing away any and all male remnants. This included putting on acrylic nails that I spent almost two hours on getting the fill just right. I also did complete body shaving and glued the silicon breast forms in place using a strong medical adhesive. Once all this was done... I was stuck with it for a while. I also unpacked and sorted out the three suitcases of clothes and accessories for my stay. I finished the evening by painting the toe and now long and pretty finger nails a bright red. I got up early on Tuesday morning and prepared for my first adventure. I wore a rather mature sophisticated look with a coral colored pletted skirt, off-white blouse with pink/coral colored squares with an accompanying jacket that was an interesting patchwork of color and lace. The outfit looked wonderful. I teased my own hair up a bit and put on a good selection of makeup for a days outings. The first stop was a complete head to toe make-over done by Jerri in Laguna. She has a complete make-over service for natural women as well as TV's. When I made the arrangements for the make-over, I told her I would come dressed, and she was a bit apprehensive, but said OK. As she does this out of her home, I think she was nervous of what the neighbors might think. But when I got there, she said something to the effect of "Oh my God, your quite beautiful". We then spent over three hours covering everything from hairstyles to makeup techniques to clothing styles and colors. I enjoyed the time there a lot, and it really gave me a confidence boost for the rest of the week. She thought I passed very well and gave me all sorts of places to go and shop at. I would really highly recommend her services for anyone who is in or near the L.A. area. After the make-over, I proceeded to go out shopping. I hit one of the malls and poked around for a while. Every now and then I could hear a person telling someone else "Look at how tall she is... geez". Sales clerks were constantly trying to get me to try things on, and I did a lot. After the mall I hit a strip of discount outlet centers and really had fun there. There were some real interesting styles as well as bargains. I tried on a bunch and picked up some of the best ones. One guy that I passed asked how tall I was, and I told him 6'-4". (I'm actually 6'-6", but didn't want to seem too tall...). A little later I bought some soda from a vendor and he mentioned something to the effect of "Gee your tall, but quite nice...". I can take comments like that all day long. It was now getting a little late in the day so I stopped by a local restaurant and had supper and then went back to the condo to relax and plan the next days events. Wednesday I decided was going to be some shopping and sight seeing. Since the day was warm, and I figured I was going to be getting into and out of clothes all day long, I wore something real simple. I wore a pair of pink sandals without nylons and a colorful pair of shorts and a matching top that left the belly button exposed and only had one button across the bosom. It was real easy to get in and out of and looked quite neat with its colorful flowery pattern. So I started my shopping in Downtown L.A. and managed to find the garment district. I spent many, many hours shopping around and trying things on as I went from store to store. One shop had some really beautiful sequined gowns as well as silk dressed and suits, that of course I tried on. The sales clerks were very helpful, and just keep bringing me things to try on. She also kept barging into the dressing room to see how I was doing, and never once gave an indication of a read. I was so pleased, and the adrenalin was quite high. The sequin and silk dresses were really great, but I just couldn't come to grips with spending $1,200 on a dress. So I moved on. One of the next shops I hit had a fantastic selection of clothes. They had everything from the basic casual to quite elegant. The sales lady was also very helpful. As I went around the floor picking things off the racks, she would gather them and hold them for me to try on. After I gathered quite a pile, I went in to try them. The changing area was just a large room with a few minor curtains here and there, but no real privacy. But I felt good and decided to go for it. So I started trying things on and got some comments from the other women in the room at how good some outfits looked on me. The sales clerk would run out for other colors or styles that she thought might also work and I tried them too. One of the dresses was a lime green angora sweater dress that came to about my mid thigh. It was really beautiful and hugged my curves very well. I over heard a couple of other girls there say something like "I wish I could look that good in a dress like that". I later wore the dress to the RGA Social that I attended on Friday night. I also tried on some silk tops and skirts as well as two suede jackets with matching skirts, one red and the other blue with black trim. The prices were really good there, so I ended up buying almost everything I tried, probably too much. I didn't have enough cash on me, so I had to use my credit card. This was my first time using it as Mira... But they didn't question it or anything. So Off I went with my pile of bags. By this time I had quite the pile, so I went back to the garage where my car was parked, and the guys come running up to me and help me with the bags and ask if I wanted my car. I told them I was just dropping off a load and would be back in another couple of hours. They stored the stuff for me and off I went to hit a few other shops in that area, but they didn't have the same feel after that one. My money was also running a low... They were all the same or the prices were to high. So I shifted my search to a new area a couple of blocks in the other direction. One shopping area I hit had a bunch of independent retailers in a department store style setting. I picked up a new hot pink bra and matching panties from one place and found another group that was selling some real interesting clothes from India. They weren't the traditional Asian Indian dress, but an American deviation on them that was wonderful. I loved the feel and color as well as the unique styles of the outfits, so I tried on about six of them and found three that fit good and looked even better. Then found some matching jewelry and went to buy it. I was still running low on cash, but really wanted these outfits... so I had to charge it... again. I handed the clerk my VISA card and he rang it up and got the approval code and then gave it to me to sign. Well when I signed it, he looked at the signature and the one on the card. Then at me, and back at the signatures... This very confused look came across his face he froze for a moment. I don't think he really expected what he saw. Maybe I should have signed it differently. But he snapped out of it, and said thank you and come again. And I went on my way. It was now about 7:00pm and the area was closing up, so I went back to my car (which by the way was a red convertible), and the parking ramp attendants went and got my car and gave the packages to me that I had them hold after my earlier shopping bonanza. We loaded up the car and when I paid them they said "thanks much miss". I then left the downtown area and proceeded more east to Upland. In Upland is 'Especially For Me', which is a boutique for TV's. Had to stop there to exchange a silicon push up pad that I had bought earlier that was the wrong size. I ended up staying a while and having a nice chat with Paula, one of the TV clerks. She just loved the way I looked and what I was doing while in L.A.. While in the area I also hit another mall and just did some looking around. The mall was closing in 30 minutes and I wanted to see what's available as well as see what people thought of me. No adverse reactions from people, so I had a great time looking around. After that I made my way back to the condo and unpacked all my new goodies. Which took a while... The next morning I woke up early and got looking my best and decided to shot a roll of film of the new outfits. So as I waited for Martha to show up for our afternoon outing, I changed and changed again. Each time shooting a couple of shots of the outfits. I had the camera set up on a tripod out on the balcony and set the timer again and again. I got about 40 different shots that way. Some of the shots turned out very well. Well Martha showed up a little before 1:00 and as soon as she did I changed into my swimsuit and put some beach wear over it. And off we went to the beach. First stop was a 1 hour developing place for all the pics shot so far, and then lunch at a Subway. Then we headed down to Laguna Beach. We first stopped at the larger beach on the south side of town. We headed straight for the beach area. We had to pass the basketball/volleyball courts and I got some interesting glances and I think even a whistle. The glances were of approval from the men playing on the courts. Once at a good spot on the beach I spread out the towel and laid down to soak up some rays. Martha got some shots of me on the beach as well as wading through the water. I was in seventh heaven out there on the beach. I didn't sense a single read. Actually quite the opposite. Even a lifeguard was watching me over his sunglasses. He looked like he was ready to fall off his perch as he watched me walk past on the way out. I gave him a real nice smile... Once we left there we went to down-town Laguna Beach. We first walked along the Boardwalk by the beach. I did get a sense of a read from one older man with a huge beer belly, but all he did was look in awe. It was actually funny. After the boardwalk we walked through the shopping areas and I check out one of the shops and then we headed back toward the condo. On the way we picked up the first couple rolls of film and dropped off the latest. The attendant at the shop didn't give any funny looks or comments about the pics or me. It was quite nice. After that we went back to the condo and reviewed the pictures. They looked wonderful. I was so pleased. I changed into something more appropriate for the evening and freshened my makeup and left to pick up the film and pick up some stuff at the local drug store that I needed. At the drug store I got some interesting glances from some younger guys. I could here them say "Look at her!", and then murmur something to each other... probably something not good for a lady to hear... A couple of young girls following there mother around also made a comment about how big I was for a girl. But I finally found what I was looking for and picked up a few other things that I really didn't need, but that looked nice and bought them and left. I then picked up the latest roll of film. I was greeted very warmly by the attendant again and had to wait just a few minutes for her to finish the roll. When she was done, I paid for them and left. Again I loved the outcome of the pictures. They turned out great. The beach shots are very good. Maybe I should print a poster... After that I went back to the condo and packed up to get ready for the road trip to the south Bay Area of San Francisco. I loaded most of the things into the car, set the alarm for 4:30 and went to bed. I finally got moving about 5:00am and got ready to go. Put on some pretty, but comfortable driving clothes and hit the road at 6:00am. I made it through L.A. and up along Highway 101 towards San Francisco. It was a long but fun drive. On the way I stopped at a rest area. The rest area was busy. I had to wait for a parking spot. Once parked, I made a bee line for the ladies room. And didn't have any reads there. Actually there were a couple of guys that were watching me closely with smiles on their faces. How foolish some guys can be. Anyway the stop was nice and relaxing, in more ways than one... After a short time on the road again, I started getting tiered and hungry, so I stopped by a little mini-mart type place. The place was filled with Mexicans. There must have been 8 of them in this little place. The attendant was really short, so I must have looked really tall... but she was very friendly. I got my Diet Pepsi and M&M's and left. A little latter I stopped at a Mc Donalds and got a burger and another bathroom break. On my way out, a couple of younger guys looked and winked at me. I similed back and left as they watched. What fun it can be. Well I finally made it to Sunnyvale about 2:00pm. It took a while, but the drive was nice and without incident. I checked into the Motel and unloaded my stuff into the room. They only had rooms overlooking the pool available. So I had to walk past all the people at the pool, again and again moving my stuff in. When I was in the room and on the phone with Evelyn, a young guy (reminded me of Ted from "Bill & Teds Excellent Adventure"), leaned up against the glass and asked "Are you a Girl or a Dude?" I looked at him with my mouth open in awe and look of shock. And he looked imbarised and left. I never seen him again... On my next trip to the car, I did get a whistle from the second floor, so I couldn't have been looking to bad. I had a couple of hours to kill so I thought I'd check out some shops. I hit the Sunnyvale Shoe Mart, but they didn't have anything exciting in my size (14W). I was also quite shopped out. So I decided to hit a beauty salon. I found one that didn't look to busy and walked in. I asked to have my hair styled for the evening and she said sure thing. So 30 minutes later I had a great hair do. Then I decided that my nails had just a bit to much abuse over the previous few days, so I stopped by a nail place and had a couple replaced and the others refilled. While I was getting my nails filled they had a TV on with a talk show. They were talking about bad dates. One guy was talking about a date once that after dinner and talking when they started to play around, he found that she was a he! I immediately looked at the other attendants around and seen no reaction what so ever. So I concluded that I was not read at all by them. Well, they finally finished the nails, and they looked wonderful! They did a better job than I did, but then again they are the pros. I then headed back to the Motel to meet with Evelyn and as I drive up I seen her walking from her car to my room. So I quickly parked and meet her at my door. Once in we hugged and exchanged our compliments and just really felt good to meet after so long. After chatting for a while, I changed into my new lime-green fuzzy angora dress for dinner and the RGA Social. I also packed up some stuff for the dancing later that night. And we were off to Michelle's house. At Michelle's we meet with Carolyn and Courtney Hill as well. We chatted a bit more and then took off for dinner at a local restaurant. We all eat to much there and had some interesting looks by other patrons. Once done we moved on to the RGA Social. It was really great to meet the other sisters of the RGA board plus some others I hadn't typeed to before. I had some real interesting talks and meet some real interesting people. There was also one 'gentleman', Allen, there who comes to the meetings to find TVs to date. Evelyn described his actions towards me as "a fly on shit", I preferred "a fly on sugar", but the principle is the same. He even followed us to the Daybreak for dancing. We stayed at the Daybreak till after 1:00am dancing, playing pool and talking. It was my first time on a dance floor, and in heels non-the-less! I had a great time. Allen was still glued to me a couple of hours later, following me around like a wounded puppy dog. I gave him two and a half dances, each time he got closer and closer. I eventually picked up the pace and started dancing circles around him. It was really funny. I told him again, for the tenth time, that I wasn't interested in anything sexual or otherwise with him and he took off moments later... not to be seen again. Poor guy, I almost felt sorry for him. We danced some more, I watched Evelyn kill everyone in pool, even me. And then we decided that we were going to have a long day on Saturday so we left. The next morning Evelyn meet me again about 10:30am as I finished getting ready. I wore a colorful skirt with matching jacket. This was one of the outfits I picked up shopping on Wednesday at the Indian shop. It was really pretty and very feminine. I decided to also wear heels with it, since we were going to San Francisco, and would probably be read anyway... why not have some fun? So I picked a nice pair of 3" heels that matched the outfit nicely and we were off! We first stopped by a Walgreens Drug Store, because I forgot my contact lens eye drops in the rush and excitement to go. After that we went to Fishermans Wharf. Fishermans Wharf was great. It was also very busy. We walked up and down a good portion of it and stopped by one of the nicer restaurants for lunch. We didn't draw any real strong attention and had a fantastic lunch. After that we did some more looking around. We stopped by some jewelry places to see about getting Evelyn's ears pierced, but couldn't find anyone, besides an Iraqi looking gentleman with real ugly studs. So we went on. We hit some real interesting shops, including an Art Gallery I do a lot of business with. They hadn't seen me in 3 years, so I wasn't recognized, but it was fun to see how they are doing and what they were showing. We also stopped by a couple of other galleries along the strip. I really enjoyed the time down there. There was one read from a tourist there that had the look of "I've seen it, I've heard about it, but now I've seen it". It was a really interesting look. I gave him a big smile. If I would have been closer I would have said "Hi, welcome to San Francisco" in a low voice... but he wasn't. At about 3:30 we showed up at the Lacing Table Convention at the Chez Restaurant. We caught the last 45 minutes of the presentations. The information was interesting, but meeting the people there was really more fun. After that Evelyn and I left again to pickup Doreen at her Hotel by Union Square. She was staying in one of the nice Hotels. Evelyn and I were really starting to get silly, and almost to the point of trying to get read. It was fun... Well we parked about 1 1/2 blocks away from the Hotel and as we walked up to it we got many interesting looks. As we walked through the lobby we got some more. It's amazing how quite an elevator can be... Well we got to the room and picked up Doreen and proceeded to go back down and out through the lobby, again getting some interesting looks. We got Doreen into a silly mood almost right away and we all had fun. Well we went back to the Chez to meet up with the other Friends of Carolyns Closet for the dinner. We meet with Barbara Lewis and Marcia Sampson. We had a great dinner and a real fun time talking. It would have been nice to have some others show up, but it was fun just the same. After dinner we went back to Doreen's Hotel to freshen up a bit and pick up some stuff she forgot. We again got some fun looks and a quite elevator ride. Evelyn even mentioned how quite it was with a load full of people... I could hardly keep from laughing my head off. At about 9:00pm we were off again, this time to Finucchios, the world famous female impersonator show. We got there in the middle on one show, and stayed through the whole next one. We were read, again, but what else is new. And had a great time watching the show. The show was non-stop and was really pretty good. Many of their performers used their own voices, and did very well! There were some amazing bodies as well. We sat in the front row on the left side of the stage. It was a good place to watch from, as well as be watched... After the second show, I gave my camera to Evelyn and asked to get a few shots, and I got up on stage and posed as she shot pictures and as everyone watched. The place got real quite as the other quests watched me up there. It was a riot. We left there about midnight and headed off to Amelia's a local dancing spot that accepts TV's. It had a fair number of people in it, and we got right into the spirt of it and hit the dance floor. I was really beginning to feel more comfortable on the dance floor, after being on the stage who wouldn't be? Anyway, after a dance or two I started getting warm, and needed the ladies room. So while in the ladies room I removed my jacket and bra so I just had a rayon tank top on over my glued on silicon breasts. They wiggled and bounced very nicely. I figured this would be the perfect end to a wonderful week. And boy (girl) was it! I went back out to the dance floor, feeling fresher and sillier than ever. I got into some real high energy dancing and became a sight for everyone to watch. (So much for blending in!) Evelyn and Doreen loved the way my breasts bounced and wiggled, and so did I. I think everyone in the club liked it too! I was really watched close, and patted on the back and told "great dancing" a few times as I came off the floor to cool down. I just know everyone in the place was massively confused... She kind of looks like a TV... maybe shes a TS... but those tits... maybe she's real... The looks were really fun. I can hardly wait to do it again! Well we closed the bar down at 2:00am, and headed back to Doreen's Hotel. We stopped outside for a couple more pictures. I even got one with a bum on the street! Evelyn and I then left for Sunnyvale. We got back there about 3:00am and I loaded up a couple of boxes and a big bag of stuff that I didn't have room in my suitcases for and gave them to Evelyn to ship me the following week. I just collected to much I guess! Anyway, I was going to have to fly home at 4:15 on Sunday, just a mere 13 hours away! I still had a ton of packing to do, and unfortunately had to transform back. So I decided that it would be best to pack and get rid of the nails before I went to sleep instead of leaving to little time. So I packed and cut/filed at the acrylic nails until 6:30am. At which point I went to bed for a full 4 hours of sleep. What a night, but a great one. I got up at 10:30 and showered and put on my boring drab clothes. They really felt out of place... And as I was getting dressed the maid came to the door. I opened the door and she asked if I was checking out, I said yes, that I'd be gone in 30 minutes. This by the way was the same maid that stopped by the previous morning and asked the same question, but I answered the door as Mira! She did have a rather puzzled look on her face this morning. Nothing like blowing her mind... Well I finished the last bit of packing and loaded up the car and took off to Michelles house to get copies of some of the BBS files that I didn't want to long distance down-load. We also scanned in a bunch of my pictures for her to place on the RGA BBS for all to see. Even one of the beach shots... After a couple of hours of that as well as answering my RGA mail that was waiting. I then headed up to the airport and caught my flight home. All in all it was a wonderful trip! When I got back home I call Jerri, the make-over lady, and we talked for quite some time. She was really impressed at all that I did that week. I even shipped off a copy of the pictures of the trip for her to review and return. Even her husband wasn't sure if I was one of her female or TV clients. I really must recommend her services to anyone that can get to her. Her phone number is (714)-495-0126. The only downside, which will hopefully lead to an upside, is that my wife and I had a big fight when I got back home about my trip. It was coming no matter what, so the trip really isn't to blame, it was just the catalyst that got things going. But it has forced her to either really accept the situation or not accept it and leave. So far she is picking to stay. She even told her mother who told her to stay and left me dress at home... what a mother in law! So things might work out yet, and for the better. Again, it was a great trip and next time I'll do two weeks (or at least try), and probably even fly enfemme. Who needs that 1/2 a suitcase of drab stuff! I hope that those of you reading this can also get out and live the dream, even if it's only a few days. It is wonderful and the best medicine I know! So remember to stay pretty and have fun! Loving Hugs to You All, Mira LaCous --
